Simple Living Flea Market began as an idea I had after reading a lot of posts on the Aussies Living Simply Forum, from folk who did crafts, but who had few venues, or little opportunity to sell their wares. These are ordinary Aussies, living as simply as they can.....trying to lower their Carbon Footprint, and make a better life for themselves and their families.

I love making websites, so I pondered how these, and all other great crafty folk, could have a way to sell online. I'd been messing about with shopping cart software for my own site, so I started researching.
Thus Simple Living Flea Market was born!

There are NO mass-produced crappy items here....these are all beautifully handcrafted pieces...made by people who care about our planet( especially our own piece of it!). Making the decision/choice to live simply often involves a lot of compromises but the rewards for all are well worth it.
By offering these dedicated "simple livers" a place to sell their crafts, I am also hoping to make others aware of the joys and benefits of stepping a little lighter on our great wide brown land.

Eventually you will also find 2nd Hand items, and other products from Fair trading Practices groups. This helps us all to follow the Four R's -Refuse, Reduce, Reuse,Recycle, which also helps soften out footprint on this Earth

Apart from the various stalls you have to browse and shop at, there will also be  articles, info, and links all about how you too can live your life more simply - even those in the big towns and cities can make some simple changes and soften their impact on the planet.
