Leg and Arm Huggers Organic- Certified Organic cotton from the growth to the processing and dyeing. Cotton from Turkey.
Manufactured in China.
I have to let you know that I have been trying persistently for 3 yrs to have an Organic hugger produced here but unfortunately it wouldn’t have been feasible cost wise. This is the only current category we have being made offshore. I am passionate about Organic and I believe the more we can make Organic cotton the norm globally, the more it will become feasible for all farms to grow without chemical fertilisers and pesticides. Good for our children and their children.
Re some offshore production: I am not against giving people jobs overseas, especially if it means putting food on the table of someone who might otherwise have had none, as long as we are bringing the money back into Australia. I also believe while I love having things made in Australia, I also believe in making a balanced business my objective. Huggalugs sponsors a family in Sri Lanka and we try to help charity organisations both locally and in third world countries when we are able.
What I am passionate about is keeping the skills and factories locally in work as much as possible. I want my children and future grandchildren to be able to have the opportunity to have products manufactured here and I believe that while not all companies can choose to have at least some of their manufacture here, we have chosen to do so. BTW: this is getting harder to do as there are so few factories around. We do have a whole group of new designs which are made in Australia and will be available shortly taking our range to well over 100 designs.
